January 5, 2014

I was looking at someone else's photo of his daughter's eye and I noticed that there was a line where everything was really in focus and I was trying to see if my lens did the same thing.

Nice shots.

If it was a macro shot, they usually have a very narrow depth of focus (unless they are done using focus stacking). When I use my Raynox 250 attachment, the depth of focus is extremely small even if I use f-22 on my aperture. A small part of a tiny spider may be in focus while the rest of it will have a good bit of blur.

Well, it seems like the focus line is at the bottom of my lens. (I rotated the picture) But I think that if I focused in on a different part of the object I could get it to change.

Tonight's dinner. Chili. I'm not complaining but it is supposed to be below freezing tonight. That is pretty darn cold for Tampa, FL

Nice chili shot.

It could be worse. We've got snow and the temp this morning was -7 degrees!

Nice tin! I have a small collection of tins...tobacco, crackers, etc. Love to look for them too!

Love the sleepy kitties!

The tin isn't old. I bought it at Wal-Mart. It had a bunch of recipes inside that uses Hershey's chocolate. It is old looking though.

We had chili last week too. Great meal for cold nights.
