Default My 365 Grateful Project.

Hey guys! Did you miss me? I am trying the whole 365 thing again. I made it through the first year, but petered out on my 2nd attempt. This time, my pictures have to portray something I'm grateful for.

So, anyway, Jan. 1st. I'm grateful for my beautiful niece, Mallory. She's as sweet as can be. We spend a lot of time together and have an amazing bond. She got me the journal for Christmas. Mallory's always thinking of others. She's honest, smart and talented and can you tell I'm head over heels for her? <3

The top photo is the first page in my new journal and my ACTUAL starting pic. The pic of Mallory was taken the week before Christmas as a surprise gift for her parents.

Day 2.

January 2nd. There is a storm named Hercules passing through. We're supposed to be getting another 3-4 inches tonight then the weather is going to turn brutally cold. (wind chills near -20)

Today I'm grateful that my kids and animals are all inside where it's warm. I'm also grateful that my sidewalk is short (less shoveling) and that I thought ahead and made a crock pot full of delicious hot chili for dinner.

Wonderful to see you starting a new 365, Mary. Love the portrait and the journal is great!

For those of you who are not facebook friendly, here's some of my favorite memories and pics I took from 2013. It was a big year for us. Brady's anxiety meds are working which means he's been able to go into stores and restaurants. I shaved off all my hair and raised $750 for cancer research. Brady faced his phobia of clippers and had his head shaved to match mine. I was gifted a 2 night stay at a gorgeous bed and breakfast through David's Refuge an organization that gives this to parents of special needs kids who need to be pampered. (It was fantastic) I went to my first rodeo, and spent most of the year just enjoying my kids. It was def. the best year I've had since the ex moved out 7 years ago.

Nice to see you back with a new 365 Mary - you have been missed here!! You are off to a good start with the journal, niece Mallory and nine inches of snow shots.

I have also been enjoying your Facebook posts.

Nice start Mary!

You may want to pick up that ruler before the rest of the snow hits, or you may not find it again until spring!

Stay safe.

Thanks guys.

1/3/14: Today I am grateful that my squirrel babies are surviving in this awful cold. Wind chills still in the negatives and way worse at night time. Some of the squirrels are ones that I have raised since they were infants. Too difficult to tell most of them apart now.
