Beautiful flowers, Tony. I can't wait to see something / anything bloom here. Still likely another 3 weeks before the flowers pop up. Cheers, Murray

Beautiful set of images, Tony. That 1st one seems to have a bit of an HDR look. That new lens looks like it delivers razor sharp images.
Cheers, Murray

Looks like ya got the hang of that lens already, Tony. I've tried a 500mm fixed focus lens once...I didn't like it much. For one thing it was too heavy! The other thing was it was a Canon! LOL!! Just kidding.
I think they turned out very well. Great colors, and clear and sharp from end to end!
Loved the great gravestones!!

Thanks Tom, yes, that's why it's been stuck at home for the last 3 years, because of its frame size limits, no good for large buildings in street locations or to capture a complete room. This is a cheap one too, as you say the focus is awkward. Still it's usefull for these type of dark interior shots

Thanks Wolf, you're right about them being a sharp lens, if you can get the focus right that is

Thank you Murray. everything in nature is well behind over here.

All the Church images are HDR, the 50mm prime is a sharp lens, if I can get the focusing right

Thank you George, the lens has been sitting at home for the last 3 years, I thought I'd use its f1.8 on the dark interiors though despite its frame size limitations

Thanks Pete, I've used the lens at home often over the last 3 years, some times with a Raynox attached, but it's little use to me as a walk about lens. In this case it dealt with the low light conditions well though so I was happy enough

Day 8

I had to go to the Clinic in Soham today, so popped into the church.

The ceiling.

A detail.

Carving and tiles.

A closer shot.

My first attempt at marriage photography.

On the way home.

In my garden.

An eclectic selection today for sure, Tony.

Love the graveyard shot - looks like a lot of bird nests in those trees. Lovely wooden sculptures on the church ceiling. Fantastic woodwork on the benches / furniture. The thatched roofs are cool. I really like the shaggy ponies with the unperturbed duckies. Interesting looking clock. Great wedding shot too. Nice daffodil - spring must be coming soon.

Thank you Wolf, I was happy to get a more versatile lens on for these shots, the 50mm prime has it's uses, but I get the feeling there's a nice warm space in the cupboard at home calling out for it

Thanks Tom, I was a bit nervous doing the wedding shoot, being my first, but I managed to get the shot before the inebriated groom fell over
