Very nice shots Tony. Love that small desk. Those books almost look like a fake front for a nice little hiding spot

I suspect Wolf would grab a cane or umbrella and start dancing if he had that hat. Doubt it would ever make it to the meter!
I would need to break that hat in before it could go on my shiny new meter, Tom.

That hat should fit my new gas meter fine.
Thank you Wolf, I tried to grab the hat for you, but the room attendant tackled me to the ground half way down the corridor

Thanks Tom, you're probably right there, the mental image is too strong not to be a reality

That clock is a wonderful piece of craftsmanship for that period.
Beautiful woodwork in the furniture.
I can't help but feel there is some sequel coming regarding that hat.
Cheers, Murray
Thank you for your kindly words Murray, I agree about the craftsmanship, it's the thing that keeps me going back to these kind of places. The hat's on the rack at the moment, though I think it's still got legs

Thank you. You could be right, Pete, the fellow that owned the house liked any number of oddities

Day 5

I visited a Fen Drainage museum today, lots of diesel pumps, it used to be done by steam in days of yore.

Details.

An old Morris Minor parked next to my motorbike.

Beautiful shots of those very tidy diesel engines, Tony. That old Morris Minor is in beautiful condition.

Great shots with great detail Tony very nice buddy esp the dials capture thats my fav, why oh why would someone fit a set of spotlights esp the ring rally version and leave the covers on to a pristine looking Morris Traveller.
