Nice set Tony!
Looks like that horse has been eating well.
Nice river shots.
That carving in the last shot made me smile.

An awesome set of shots today, Tony. I really like the horse, first riverboat lock bridge and church pew shots.

Very good set, Sir!!
Thank you George, it could well be I wonder if it will last as long as some of the other carvings.

Thank you Mark, we get quite a few canals and rivers criss-crossing the area, much of it was marsh land before it was drained. Though I think you also have a large area of water in your vicinity

Thanks Murray, the church, as it is, dates from about the 15 century, though there were other other religious buildings there before. I have a feeling it will be there for another 500 plus years, far outliving even me

Cheers Tom, the horse was in with a mate, they are someones pets, and they both looked very healthy and well loved

Thank you Wolf, I was very happy to be able to get out of the house at last, I definitely had cabin fever

6-4-2013

Day 4

I decided to try using the 50mm 1.8 to deal with the very low light inside Anglesey House.

I had Varied success, but it's worth persevering with.

On the way, just to make sure it works.

Lines.

Inside.

Clock.

Desk and chair.

And a hat for Wolfs new meter.

Thanks Mark, no way I could get it in with a wall behind me squeezed into a recess beside the bed, and the room attendant giving me more angry looks by the second, despite my charm and beauty.
That's a problem with a fixed lens. I took another shot from a different angle, but it was too straight on, so I stuck with this one

Very nice to see its not raining in your locale, Tony. Cool RR track shot. Love the old desk & clock shots.

That hat should fit my new gas meter fine.

I really like the clock and desk shots. I'd like to have a desk like that, but don't think my computer stuff would fit on it.

I suspect Wolf would grab a cane or umbrella and start dancing if he had that hat. Doubt it would ever make it to the meter!

Very nice photos on Day 4, Tony. Nice composition on the train track shot and you lucked out on that nice sky.
That clock is a wonderful piece of craftsmanship for that period.
Beautiful woodwork in the furniture.
I can't help but feel there is some sequel coming regarding that hat.
Cheers, Murray
