Holy Smokes! George!!!!!!?!??!!!!??! Please tell me that was a carcass, not a live black widow? and that you shot it from arms length?

No, it's alive, but I put it in the freezer for a few minutes to slow it down. I found it at one of our gas well heads in some sawdust stuff. Used a stick to put it in a Dorito's bag.
It became active a lot quicker than I anticipated, so had to cut the session short. Back in the bag, and released outside where I found her.
I try and never harm any of my subjects, but just between us, if one ever gets on me, it's all over but the shouting.

sheesh! good tip, re the freezer, but what's next? looking for a brown recluse?
