Blu Domain Bankruptcy ????

I need some collective input from you guys. I had taken all the steps to purchasing a blu domain site template (bludomain.com) and was about to sign the contract with my credit card information the next day....but then the night before, I hear that blu domain is in potential bankruptcy ! Is this mere rumor ? Is there any truth to that story ? Does anyone have any facts they can share ? Thanks....

It was at a photog meeting....a member said they had seen it online in one of the forums...so now I am attempting to see if there is truth in the forum post...I have sent an email to blu domain and came right out and asked them...I haven't heard back from them...but if and when I do, I will post the reply. I am scared to follow through with my purchase until I know.... Me and the member are wondering about the facts...and if BluDomain is indeed financially sound, we wanna make sure the rumor is clarified with the facts.

OK...received an email from BluDomain today. Everyone knows that rumors are aweful and pesky...the truth must be told to dispell any false detail that might be out there. We owe it to ourselves to research this truth if we are affected by BluDomain's financial health...and we owe it to BluDomain to make sure they are heard and the truth is told.

Here is the email from BluDomain I received today,
"In bankruptcy... now that is so funny. Where do rumors start ? Okay we were just featured in NY TIMES and Post and morning shows for our growth and presence in many industries and life is good. Trust me that is a big rumor and if you can kindly tell your members that would be wonderful as they would miss out on making their business amazing using BLU. Aundrea"

Did you decide to go with Blu Domain? I am looking at going with them and cannot get anyone to contact me and am not able to even purchase a site online... It says that the site is down for purchasing? Anyway,,, Love their work but very nervous about customer service... thanks!

CS sucks!!! CS sucks!! CS sucks!! But I own a blu and am fairly competent at figuring things.
Its a roll of the die if you want to go with them.
I would recommend FlashPalette Web Design.
CS is awesome and so are the templates. Plus you try before you buy.

OH, WOW... now it's the NY Times? She told me it was VH1 so I guess marketing is more important than getting people their web site?!!!! I ordered mine before Christmas and haven't received it!! They say they are back logged and now they are just ignoring me!!

Well, I haven't because I'm afraid if I do I won't get the product. There aren't other services that compare to the quality of the site although the customer service sucks. The funny thing is my site I can see it all uploaded on the 7th of January on my server.. they just need to go in and add "add new server" it really shouldn't take them to long to do it so I don't know why I'm being ignored!!

They have written me a couple times saying they didn't know how to do it and lost the instructions I gave them. I called my hosting company dotster (which is fab) and they gave me step by step instructions to give them which were beyond simple!

Sadly, this is just one of many many complaints from people who have ordered before their big VH1 publicity happening. I've had my eye on this website for about 1 year and got it as a Christmas gift would be nice if I could use it!! I'm losing money as other customer are and some are filing a lawsuit becaue of it. If you go to their site under "just launched" then click "blu news" you will see a list of complaints from numerous people who have written and hear nothing back!!! (for months and are still willing to wait while they steal their money because they need the site so badly for their company).

I can't believe you got your site already!! Ugh, yes mine was ordered before Christmas!

I have repeatedly contacted BluDomain myself bc a close friend and photographer has a site with them. I have left emails repeatedly, maybe ten or more since early December and not once have i recieved a response. Does anyone know of other companies like them?

I just visited the Flash Pallete website and was apalled at how poor their English grammar was. They could not be American born or have English as a first language. They didn't even proof for typing mistakes in their FAQ.

I'm not impressed.

Hi Val,

I like many of you here have been trying to contact bludomain but get no response. I even faxed them last week. Still no answer.

The problem is a while back, probably a little too far back, purchased 3 websites from them. I paid for 1 in full and I told them that when I am finished with the admin part of it, I would call them for the remaining balance for the other 2 and have not got a response. They have stolen my money. I have done everything I can think of to get a response out of them except sue them. But hiring a lawyer could be expensive and not worth it unless they can sue them for enough to pay his fee. Maybe, I will check on this soon to see if it WOULD be worth it.

I would call the credit card company but it is probably too long ago that they wouldn't have a recored of it. I guess I can try it anyway.

Thanks for hearing me out and I will do my research on whether they are lying about the bankruptcy. That might explain why they have not answered me about my accounts.

The truth I don't think they could be in banckrupt
They are not famous for their customer response , they just sell the templates and dont care about customer concerns.
From what i have seen , probably they are desorganized and unfocus , just producing for their pockets.
But still their templetes are very good priced and aestetically balanced.
I still use their service and will continue with them

I am totally shocked. I have been with blue domain for couple years now and I always get quick response and also great customer service. I have just recently been working a new template and they were very quick and helpful to get my domain moved over and activated in a short time..
