I am just an amateur when it comes to webpage building

What, do you think is the best software to use for building webpages ?
I am looking for something easy to learn, that can be afforded by an amateur like me, but with lots of possibilities.
I realise there are some contradictions here

I use 1st page...free software and I like it.

I LOVE your giraffes picture. Too often people forget there is more to the animal than the fact that they have a long neck and they just focus on that. Your picture is very interesting, obviously giraffes, yet not a neck to be seen...great shot.

I don't think I have ever seen pictures of Andalusia before. It is a spectacular place. Do you have a link to a place that offers the cycling tours or did you just do it yourself? My husband bikes pretty much 30 miles a day and has done a century as well, and the thought of travel PLUS biking would really appeal to him. Me...not so much I'd rather ride a horse, but to see countryside like is in your pictures I'd take up biking again. I don't think I'd go very fast, I'd want to stay and paint scenes or at the very least would be hoping off the bike every couple minutes to take pictures.

Sorry for the confusion. Ellette is just the screenname I've used since WAAAY back when chat was not common (ie., when I was in college in the early 90's). I have always liked it because it means "little elf". IRL though, I'm just plain Sara.

I'll check that out, thanks. I know my husband would love to do something like that, especially once the boys are older and could bike too instead of us having to haul them around behind us. Also...I don't think you were advertising...I specifically asked you about it and you were just answering a question.

I introduced a slideshow feature of my latest shots on my English homepage.

Since I can only test this on my own connection and with Firefox and Internet Explorer, I would like to ask you to report to me any strange behaviour of this slideshow.

I see a fading effect in IE that I do not see in Firefox.
Also the border lines around the picture appear differently.

Speed, bugs anything ? Thank you !

It seems a long time since I did give an update on my web site here.
Well, since I moved everything from fotobram.nl to fotobram.eu at the change of 2006/2007 and at the same time changing my equipment from Olympus to Nikon, this might be an appropriate moment.

It is all based on Wordpress, Gallery2 and pixelpost software now.
I hope you like it and I also hope it runs smoothly now.
