This was my first time to shoot at a wedding, assisted as the second shooter. Natural light.

Looks like a nice start, but the image seems flat and soft to me. You have editing enabled, so I played around with the image some by boosting exposure, contrast, vibrance, and sharpness. Also played with the white balance a bit.

...this is a kind-of classic pose. What could have been better: position the head & eyes so that her eyes are not caught in the extreme corners, a whee tiny bit of white on either side makes for a nicer looking image. You seem to have misfocused this shot: if I see it right, the focus is on her dress, and not on her eyes, where it should be (IMO). The details of the dress (and bouquet) are beautiful and not washed out/overexposed, and I think a crop showing more of the dress (and bouquet) with her head a bit higher in the image would have showed 'wedding' more: exposed by itself this shot doesn't cry 'wedding/bride' to me, this could also be a 'sweet girl with fancy dress and veil/shawl in her hair' image. It is a bit flat, but like swampler said you could/can/should play with exposure/saturation/contrast/local contrast enhancement/vibrance/sharpening to get/make some more of this shot ![]() But not bad for starters, keep up the practice and keep posting, and you will grow in leaps in stead of steps ![]() ...€0.02... Kindest regards! Max@Home |

Thanks, this is the kind of information I was looking for, it was a quick shot when she was looking out the front door. I have not played with it in PS. I need to look for the threads about aspect though.
