Went to a workshop on Saturday on wedding photography with a difference namely trash the dress shots. CC is welcome of these two examples. The models were extremely brave as the river that they got into could not have been more than 6 degrees celius.

I agree with Garren that the second one is the shot! The first one does not hold my attention, but a good shot.

I, too, like the second shot, but I'll chime in on it, as I did in a similar thread not too long ago, because it made my heart skip a beat - and for all the wrong reasons.
As a professional railroader, I was trained that "any time is train time." Seeing the model laying within the gauge like that put her at risk of injury or death should there be any movement on that track, even from a runaway car. The photographer was likewise in potential jeopardy. Folks, don't leave your common sense behind when you go out in the field, whether as part of a workshop, a photographic project, or whatever, just to get "that shot." I certainly don't want to learn here on the Camel that one of us died while out photographing something, because that person failed to use his head. Take care, Dieter Zakas Safety, NJ |

Don't worry we were all totally conscious of safety. The shot was actually taken at a railway museum where absolutely nothing was moving. __________________
