The model is gorgeous, the lighting is fabulous, excellent pose and expression. The tilt doesn't work for a couple of reasons: 1- too much tilt 2 - it appears as though she is holding up the brick column. This shot would have worked much better without the tilt.

I'm going to respectfully disagree about the tilt. It adds drama to the image. A straight up and down image would lack the drama present on the tilted image. This is, of course, my opinion, but diagonals have always been a photographers tool for enhancing composition. This works for me, and obviously for others. I will admit, de gustibus non est disputandum. You can't argue with taste!

I think you are both wrong and right. The tilt does add drama and yes it does get used as a tool by many Photographer. How ever" I do agree that the tilt is perhaps just a tad too much. I did some tilt shot at a wedding yesterday" I realised one of them was also a little too much.
I guess if it looks right for the Photographer taking the photo, then that is all that matters. ![]() |

Beautiful picture! Tilt is a little too much for me but it's just nitpicking. Only other minor nitpick would be it seems flash was maybe too high or wrong angle as it causes shadow in her right eye...but it's very minor. Great stuff man.

Do you have a portrait closeup focusing on her eyes?
