My boyfriend booked his first wedding and I came along as his assistant. It's something I have envisioned for our future (being a wedding team

Very nice...I can feel your excitement with the joint venture! In #10, and this really stood out to me in comparison to the photo right below it, ...the black isn't black in his suit and her dress has a cast too. I wuld just clean up his lapel in #11. I really like #12.

Great job for sure!! Excellent poses and comps all around. I really like the way you lit a bunch of those from the back also, to add drama. Great idea!
Best, Jay |

Good job! For me a little bit of tilted shots go a long way. Nice variety!

A few comments I'd make:
The tilted horizontal images I don't think it is necessary to tilt them in these instances, they are great pics without it watch the group photos where they are so close to the edge of the image. If someone orders prints that crop, 5x7,8x10 etc you will be cropping people out -#28 a wider aperture would of worked better for the front gals to be in focus or focal point on the person in front I like seeing the use flash in creative ways and get some neat effects, but you have to be careful and not blow your highlights such as 22, 23, and 27 Overall, think you did great! Great colors, great expressions, and thinking outside the box. |

One can see that it must have taken a team of two to put it all together with the extra lighting.
Great work and the styles of photographers vary so much. Many are excellent and here is another example. Unfortunatly I don't have an Assistant to help out. It is alreay enough trying to cart all my Gear with me as. The only way around it all is for me to keep things light and simple such as a Speedlight Strobe that is more compact for me to work with. Nice work! ![]() |

I love what you've done here. I've also learned from some of the CC you've received. I would love to see some of the shots that you took yourself.

Very nicely done.
How did you position the light for the backlit shots; were one of you holding it or did you bring a small tripod/lightstand? And how did you manage that flashes' power? |

thanx everyone!! i really learned a lot from posting these
![]() great advice! we really worked together great! i like how our styles vary so much - it really adds to that extra coverage for the client! my boyfriend used remote flash triggers for the backlit shots. we would set up the shot, position the flash (usually behind the bride to give her the most light) and then i would run back and forth if it didn't work properly hahah. the effect was amazing i think - i was a pretty proud girlfriend ![]() thanx again everyone! now....to book more weddings... ![]() |

I love the last one the best.. on the bench with the back light. Not that the rest are bad, they are all good. Well done.
