Of course we all know that all weddings are different. We can agree right. So I have a wedding coming up on the 17th of October, in which is very very differnt frim the ones I have shot in the past. It will be on a soccer field, outdoors, and we have the Bride, Groom, and 4-5 kids as the wedding party. Ages 11 and under. So, I have been thinking a lot trying to get some type of visual of what I want to do. I want the images to be great of course. But from a soccer field to a house I find myself scratching my head. Any thoughts?

Just show up. Look around when everyone gets ready. Let your heart lead you.

That's what I do, though the type A in me makes me do that BEFORE everyone gets there. I want the idea already in mind, but it won't come to me until I see the place and walk around a bit.

Well other than praying for rain.... You may want to work a soccer ball in as an establishing shot. Get a low perspective as the kids walk in. How bout a shot with the bridal party playing soccer. maybe a shot of the bride guarding the goal as the groom SCORRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEESSSS.... GOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL>>>>. .. Don't really know what you are going for but just some quick thoughts

That is what I do
I also much prefer a plan, but most of the time it ends up taking a different road anyway. I just go through some posing techniques and then once I see the spot, try and work with it. David had some great ideas though!! Best, Jay __________________
