As always, very nice! I got on here specifically to seek out your latest wedding for inspiration! I haven't done any weddings this summer since I had a baby, but I am doing my cousin's coming up in a few weeks. Gotta get back into the creative groove! Thanks for sharing. As always, an inspiration!

Very nice light!
Did you do something special, like double / remote flashes, video light, diffusor/bouncer or anything? Anything special in postprocessing, like color balance, contrast correction or something? |

The only thing I do with lighting (unless it's formals) is just bounce my flash backwards. It's weird, and you have to get close, but I like the way it lights things. I start out in Lightroom for my exposure and white balance correction, and it's fairly fast doing the job. I then batch Noiseware at half default on all images. Then it's just a matter of cropping and post. Hope that helps! |

Cindy, these are great! (as usual!!) Tell me a little more about Noiseware. Is it from Imagenomic? Do you use the stand alone, or the plug in, or both? I need to do this. I think I'm going to download the trial version. Lemme know....THANKS!...Chris

Yes, it's Noiseware from Imagenomic. I use it as a plug in so that I can batch via Scripting. It takes a few hours to batch a wedding, but I HATE noise so it makes my life alot easier. ![]() |

This is just horrificly depressing.
![]() I've never seen so many spot-on skin tones in my life, simply amazing. When do the classes begin? ![]() You mention that it takes a long time to batch for Noiseware and I can't think of any reason for it to take so long to do this. |

Hi Harry,
Thanks for the kind words! Noiseware takes a while because I'm batching it on about 800 photos at a time. Each image only takes less than a minute. I hope that makes sense. Thanks also for the words about skin tones. I'm a bit nutty about them. So that means a lot!I've done one seminar, and it was horrifying. Everyone was great, don't get me wrong, I'm just not much of a public speaker. I know there is a lot of money to be made in seminars, but I'm just a bread and butter wedding shooter. I'll leave the seminars to the rock stars. ![]() I try to offer practical help online though...... I'm a bit more comfortable online than I am in person. ![]() |

I'm using Portraiture and Noiseware, but don't get anywhere near the results that you do. (could be the shooter) Would you care to share your Noiseware custom setting? Will probably have more questions later.

IMO you overcooked the skin in some of them. I think you mentioned somewhere that's your style but I still think its way too much. Maybe I am wrong and there is some texture left in 100% size but I have my doubts.

Harry, it could be the ap and iso you are shooting at. Are you shooting higher ap and lower iso? (My normal shooting ceremony and reception is 1600 at 2.8 or lower). That might be it. |

Gotta be different. If I did my style (PJ/Formal Fusion), and didn't do something different, I'd prolly be sitting around every Saturday night. I'll never know, because, as my siggy says, "I'll always be more fantasy than reality". It's been that way for 5 years now, and I'm still kickin'. I guess I'm not brave enough to go changing things that are working just fine. |

The images are beautiful. On the processing, we each have our own 'formula' for our own style. We all work hard to develop our own edge in this business that sets us apart. My personal thought is that Cindy has done well in marketing her style to her clients. In viewing all of Cindy's images, for the most part the images on the 'event side' have a lot in common in that they are all quite expensive events at fabulous venues and all have a 'fairy tale' feeling to them. If a couple has gone to so much work and expense to having a high level of perfection for the event, for me it is not a reach to understand they would want flawless imagery to top off their 'dream day.'
I appreciate the beauty of the event and the capture and processing Cindy was able to do with this and all her work. Would this work for my style or my clients? Unfortunately not, but do I find them appealing? Definitely. __________________
