Fun engagement with an upskirt shot?!?!?

I'm going to shoot at a wedding here in July. There's another photographer that's trying to gain experience as well and well, let's see who does better and makes a sale. Nothing like some friendly competition right?

I'm doing the shoot for free, but I am going to charge if they want any pictures. Nothing like gaining experience without the stress of expectations.

Jay you are right, competition is a health thing. Just remember, you don't take "PICTURES" you make images. They can take a picture with a point and shoot. Your eye, experience, and heart combine to capture beautiful images for lasting memories!

Thanks for that JD. I always seem to say PICTURE. I read this and said to myself "I make IMAGES" awesome! =) I learn something new every day. So yeah, I saw the upskirt now.

You have got to be so happy. Why can't I live in a place where there is cool stuff to shoot like this?

Awesome set. Invite your self to the wedding and do a free shoot and post them up on an online sales venue such as smugmug to sell prints to frends and family.. use these for your port and online as well, Then when you get that must have shot you make some money and have more to market your abilitys.. Just my thoughts..

Set your self apart from uncle Bob with the point and shoot. Remember you can do things they can not.

Thanks for the comments and the good advise. And, that would be a good idea if I were just starting out, but at this point I wont shoot a wedding for free. I'm not worried about booking the date, I'm concerned for them. After spending time with them I got to know them a bit and really like them. I would be happy for them if they hired any professional wedding photographer doesn't have to be me. They are young, beautiful, and full of energy. I hope their friend captures that for them.

You are too kind Sis! Thank you!! These two are so in love they just made it easy. I was only there to record them.

Thanks Tom! Yes they have seen them and love them. Choked me up to hear how happy she was with them! But like I have said, most of the credit belongs to them. They were great!!
