I have been asked to take photos for a couple from my church. They are going to renew/repeat their wedding vows on Dec. 19th. What photos would you take of this event? I've never done this before and I really don't like doing weddings (I've only done one so far and have another beach wedding for next March). Would this be done the same as weddings? Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for sharing.

Hi Beyond,
Yes, same as a wedding. They are likely even more into each other now, so this is a great opportunity. |

I would also think it would be the same situations. Just remember to ask the Priest/Minister who ever is Officiating where/when/and if you could use Flash or stand during the Ceremony as a just in case. You probably want to shoot Natural Light anyway but need the Flash for walking down the Isle if there gonna do this.
If you've only done one Wedding, I would look at the very nice rules to go by that have been published here by our Local Experts. Keeping this in mind will make your job an awful lot easier and will try and help you relieve the pressure of the moment. ![]() |

Thanks littlegal, I'm taking this as an opportunity to get more "enthused" about wedding photography. I do a lot of photos for our church events, so I am getting lots of practice "inside the church". And we have a beautiful new sanctuary too!

Now I can't believe I almost forgot this one important point.
Look in the Weddings Directory here for ideas for posing and lighting techniques. These current Professional Photographers do an absolutely wonderful job and they deserve all the respect that we try and give them. On top of them, the only one other expert that I can recommend you do a search for on the net is for thee Grand Artist when it comes to Wedding Photography, Monte Zucker. Here is one of the many sites that are available on the net: Monte Zucker: Portrait and Wedding Photography Teacher __________________
