I have a question for the guys shoot weddings
Do you like it ??
Are you making a reasonable living from shooting weddings ??
How is the competition out there for a wedding photographer
and what is a good prize to do a wedding

Once you get into the mainstream of wedding photography you'll realize it aint easy.
Competition is real tough.
Going to photography school wont help because you need real-time experience.

No, I do this as an extra-job. I work in IT as my main income.

Very little. The amount of couples getting married who need pro wedding photographer is way more than amount of pro wedding photographers. The competition is more on the wedding couple's side. Whoever gets a photographer first wins

I believe this is something everyone needs to experiement themselves. If you over-price yourself, you will not get gigs. If you under-price yourself, you will get each weekend booked but then curse while doing photo editing and not getting much off it.
