Default Album question

I am very new to wedding photography and just don't quite know some of the things everyone is talking about.

What exactly is a parent album and how does it differ from any other album?

A parent album is obviously for the parents of the bride and the groom. They're identical or very similar to the actual wedding album, although it's usually smaller and may contain less pages. They may be included in packages, or be ordered separately from the photographer.

Default Re: Album question

23pixels, photographers more than likely handle their main albums and parnet albums differently based upon the geographical location they are in. For instance, we're in a smaller town in east Tn. The norm around here (which don't ever do the norm if you want to stand out above the rest) is to compliment the luxorious flush mount album for the bride & groom with a couple of smaller 4x6, 5x5 or 5x7 proof style albums. Most of these hold around 100 pictures and cover the entire day to a point.

Hope this helps.

Craig
