It's a great sports camera, but would any wedding shooter use this? I can't imagine firing off 10 fps in a wedding ceremony. Seems like live view would be perfect for wedding portraits, but it seems like it's on the wrong camera. Wedding pros, what do you think?

Actually I have to say that it might be neat to have for wedding photographers. While you dont have to shoot 10fps, its great to be able to if you really want to show a nice series of something... bride walking down the altar, ring exchange.. at the reception the cake cutting and dance.. I think some of those things would actually looks really cool in a fast series like that in their album or arranged in a slideshow.

Really? 10fps of a bride walking down the aisle? Anyway, it would have to be great light to do it anyway, if you'd do that.

I'd think the 5D is a better choice for a wedding, but I don't do weddings. LV for weddings could work, as Latinbob says. Other than that, I think they put LV on the wrong camera.

Agree, but it depends upon how loud the shutter is.

even if its loud it would still come in handy during the reception.
Like I said, its not like you HAVE to use that option, but I am sure it would come in handy and make for a different and interesting few album pages. I think I'd like it unless it has drawback in other functions which I didnt look into

Autofocus tracking in lowlight.

Autofocus requires the mirror to be down, and when you're firing away at 10 fps (assuming you have 1/500 second or higher for true 10 fps), you're not giving the AF a lot of time to readjust as the subject moves.

That said, Canon claims improved AF, so here's hoping the AF can keep up. Canon's predictive focus hasn't impressed me in lowlight, so I'm withholding judgement until I can see it in action.
