The EOS 1DsM2 is my only camera and I use it to everything. The camera is really good and I am more then satisfied with the results. I do not understand the question. Is there something special with weddings that I do not understand?

Your right it was probably the wrong question but having done just 2 weddings with my 1ds2 I'm not totally happy with everything namely skin I'm finding it looks a bit grainy whenever there seems to be in movement of the subject whatever shutter speeds/apertures I use.I realize I'm inexperienced in this field ,and hope thats what its down to.
I have probably done most of my pics with the 24-70 L lens and using a 550 Ex flash With a stroboframe bracket
Any suggestion welcome
Thanks

I have also the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM and with the flash 580 I manage very well. Actually I use the flash if the light is coming from behind, and also if I want to lighten the objects more then with normal light. Mostly I love the capacity of the higher ISO with the camera. It depends of course where the photos shall be taken, but I also use the EF 50mm f/1.4 USM and EF 135mm f/2L USM. With these lenses I do not need the flash.

For me is the best thing that I am not a professional. I just love to take photos. That is a main point when I do not have the pressure on me to succeed with the photos. That is very important. I can enjoy taking photos and enjoy my camera. I also can relax and make for sure that all the needed preparations is done before the shots. The pro's have to succeed at the right moment and that is very difficult.

Yes. I have planned well in advantage where I use zoom and where prime. Like a sportsman who is walking around the track before the competition. Mostly prime because of the wonderful light and I can blur what I want. Last time I took one photo to each of them where the other one is standing behind. I said to them that when you have taken this step you think you are alone out there, but after this ceremony the other is like a ghost with you everywhere. This I've got from one wedding where the bride was the most beautiful that a bride can be, and afterwords the same evening the new "happy" husband was planning a date with a female wedding quest.

I have nothing but good to say about this camera in general, for weddings or anything else.

Weddings with a 1Ds II... wow. You would need a lot of CF cards and backup hard-drives. Not to mention the fact that even my G5 would start to get unhappy dealing with those enormous files.

I find the 1D Mark II to be the perfect wedding camera. I think I'll buy the next EOS-1 when it is released though.

Default I don't...

I don't. Don't take me wrong, I love this camera, but for weddings I prefer 2x 20D. After about 14+ hrs my right arm (elbow actually) can't take it anymore.
