I love looking at your work as it is so different to my style that it makes me really think and I know I need to try some different things.

Great job!!!

Nice stuff! LOVE #15, Garren.

One suggestion - when photographing the jewelry detail shots, I think it would look better to separate the earrings so they aren't touching. I thought for a long few seconds that it was a brooch or pin.

I just get lost in your photos. So beautifully taken. With such love, I think, is what makes them so special.

Really a great set of images. Really. Love your perspective, love your processing...everything looks great.

1. I'm not sure why the bride is just sitting there. I need something else to make the interactions she might be having believable. The guy shot is great.

2. Stellar...photojournalistic feel.

3. Love this idea...great use of line and creates a nice piece of art. Just wish the missing fingers would be in the picture.

4. Crop out the one little corner of the eye. Jerry Ghionis has a rule, and I think it makes sense and I try to use it. If part of a body part is included in the picture, include the whole body part. So you have to decide if you are going to include the eye or not. He says this rule helps to make the images stronger.

5, 6, 7, 8, 9...fantastic. What is not to love in those images?

10. Bride needs a bit of help. Hip back away from the camera, left leg slid further towards her right, toe pointed towards you, face turned more into the light. More shape for the bride and gives a more interesting look.

11. Love.

12. Post in the grooms head...I do that all the time and regret it later. GRRRR.

13. Nose pimple....ouch! Remove that one.

14. Love.

15. Like.

16. Bride looks a bit bored! She is not adding to the shot here. I might have even just turned her around and had her looking at the groom. then you could create some interplay. She is looking at the groom, he at her. He looks at camera. He looks back at her and she blows a kiss. He looks at her and flirts with her. She looks at him and she flirts with him. Then they begin walking towards each other and embrace in a romantic kiss....with no puckering of the lips. Then he whispers something she longs to hear in her ear. Then he looks at the camera with her face held in his hands as she lovingly looks up towards him...with her eyes closed.

17 on are great. You capture a lot of things and capture them well.

Good call on the earring shot, Sis. Sarah says I shoot detail shots like a boy and I need to think like a girl.

Kelly,

Thanks for all the detailed info...love it!! One note is the thing on her nose is a small mole.

I feel like I shoot details like a boy as well...need to work on that!

Small mole...gotta keep. If it is a permanent part of the individual, we leave it alone!
