Great job, especially so for a second wedding. I love the first three photos!
The only one I'm not so keen on is the second from last - there's a bit of camera shake I think and the groom's (?) expression is a little odd. Is it from the getting ready stage as the guy doing his tie up in the corner indicates? If not, I think he probably needed to be avoided/cropped. |

Thank you much Alex, appriciate the input! The picture your speaking of is from getting ready. His best man was givng quite the pre wedding cheers and I wanted to capture that. I guess that just the way Marines show emotion? A little held back and reserved, not sure?A couple days prior to this wedding he was having live rounds fired passed his head….I couldn't even imagine!I remember the camera being pretty dialed down F stop wise… 2.8. Focus was on the groom and I let everything fall off from there. Not sure if there was any shake, didn't appear to have any in post but after looking as so many..whos knows. I'll go back and check. Again, Thanks for looking and your comments!

I think you hit focus on his hand, not his face. It won't print particularly large, but you could sharpen his face a little to bring it into better focus -- it's not too far out. The other guy is obviously moving and that causes some color fringe on the arm. You shot that at f/1.8 1/60th, so the DOF is pretty thin and the shutter pretty long for anything moving. I actually like his somewhat nervous expression. This should could use slightly better white balance -- looks a little too warm imho.
You might see if you have another similar shot that would work better, though. One thing you can do is to fire a flash into the ceiling or wall behind you, and you can really freeze action better at 1/250th. |

Stef…You are right! went back and looked at that image, its def his hand that I focused on…not his eye! Whoops… I would of been shooting a faster shutter speed and bouncing the light but I messed up,again…. dead batteries in the flash! I'am learning to try and stay more organized. Thanks for the input, I appriciate your time and comments! I really like trying to capture the emotion and like you I'am liking his expression. Wish I would of nailed it!
-Chris Here's another emotion pic I really like! ![]() __________________
