You've been spamming yourself all over this place.

Pretty tacky.

I did not see anything that suggests this is spamming. No mention of fees or joining a membership, or anything that suggests the OP wants anything in return. It appears more like someone willing to share. Did I miss somethig?

If it's unsolicited first posts directing a user to a site where the poster makes money, yes, it's SPAM. He's making money from ad revenue.

If it's in response to another user's questions and relevant, it's not SPAM.

This should ONLY be posted in Your Work on the Web / Announcements / Camel Group Announcements - PhotoCamel - Your Friendly Photo Forum

EDIT: I'm not reporting it since he's a new user. Hopefully he'll correct it himself. In the meantime, he hasn't been spamming anywhere else since he's been contributing to various threads. Hopefully he'll continue that practice. Participation is the difference between spam and marketing here.

All of his first posts were directed to HIS site, where he probably makes money.

Therefore: Spam.

THIS particular site has rules, however, that you agreed to when you joined. Advertising a link in your signature isn't a big deal. Posting it as a first post in a thread is considered spam, however, anywhere except the link I provided earlier.

Will you plese tell me the difference between PHILL and ronbigelow who links his site in all his first posts? I really admire Ron's dedication to sharing and am learning a great deal from his tutorials and I admire anyone who is willing to give their knowledge freely. It seems to me PHILL was that type of individual. Some of the posts have been deleted so I may be way off base. If so I apologize.

Phill wasn't posting any information here, merely directing traffic away from here to his own site. Had he been posting tutorials here, then I doubt the link would have been a problem. Just my own thoughts on the subject.
