Hallo guys
![]() Few time ago I saw a technique about moving your zoom lenses while you are taking the pic and making a motion result to your background. Unfortunately I don't remember where I had read it. I had tried this but it had been a bit difficult to keep the subject in focus. Please somebody help me ![]() I think this technique offers you a really interesting effect to portraits. I have tried this technique my self. I have the same problem. Helps abit to stay centered on the subject while zooming.
Some use a thing called Lensbaby or something like that to achieve this effect. Or If I were you, take the photo, use photoshop - duplicate layer, motion blur to zoom and erace the middle of the image. BAM! |

This effect was very popular in 1920's and 30's,. They used a Wollensck Varito lens wide open. The coveted Pinkham-Smith portrait lens was perhaps the best of the soft focus lenses. Today some call the effect bokeh.
I like everything about your image but the birdhouse. C Webb |

An example of using flash to freeze the subject and make it pop from the background. Using a Slow Shutter while zooming and popping the flash at the end of the curtain can achieve this effect. I used it indoors at a costume party. Most of the revelers were moving, but I still got the zooming effect that I wanted.
![]() Or it can be achieved in PhotoShop using the Zoom Blur Filter and a layer mask that was mentioned before... ![]() __________________
