Hi Benji, I came over from dpreview.com a few days ago to check out your rules of good portraiture, and I have learnt so much. Being a slow learner, its going to take me some time to put so much of your expertise into practice, but I have already looked again at some portraits I had taken some time ago of my family and have now "seen the light" (i.e. seen where I went wrong).

Benji, how can I get more information about your DVD? Thanks again.

Rajoo.

Hello Benji:
New member here and just found this topic. Everything I wanted to say has been said. Thats the problem with finding stuff out and being on page 13. Noone said Merci, gracias, shukria so let me be the first.
I really like the concise, to-the-point, no-nonsense way that you presented this subject.
The more I snoop around Camel, the more I realize what a fantastic site it is. Special K for your breakfast tomorrow.
Best regards
Raj

Thanks Benji, the rules are familiar and yet we often forget them when doing wedding work. Either things are moving too fast or time is limited to arrange set ups.

There is more "must know" information about posing here than I have read in the three books I have on the subject. Thank you very much for sharing your knowlege.

Thank you Benji...most of my rules are forgotten when I get swept in a shoot. It is good to see these as a solid reference.

Hi Benji,

I am a newbie to this site and also to the art of photography, some very good points here, hopefully will try and apply these rules to my pictures. Just wondering if you could have a quick look at some of my pics and maybe give any quick pointers, Flickr: Fei Long's Photostream. Thanks
