Default Skyfest 2008 F-22 Raptor

This is one amazing jet!! I would NOT want one of them on my tail. It was an extreme pleasure to watch this jet perform!! I hope you enjoy the pics.

Great shots. I am amazed how close in design it is to the F15.

Although very different, there are some strong similarities that I see also.

Looks like a mix of the F-15 and stealth fighter.

Fab work Ron! Love them all.

have to say I admire your nerve in photographing them.Over here in the UK they have gone security crazy and taking a shot like that at a UK base might mean you having a free holiday in Guantanamo LOL

Great shots there Ron. Did the pilot demonstrate the manuverablity with the thrust vectoring? That would've been awsome to witness in person.

Thanks Frank.

firefoto, I believe he do use the thrust vectoring. The plane is very agile!! It was in what appeared to be a flat spin stall, but was very much in control. Awesome airplane!!

When they did the airshow here the thing flew backwards among other amazing things. I have a picture I took of it as a desktop.
It's amazing to say the least. It does look a bit like the F-15, but can manuever a lot different.
