Default Police Car

I was trying to take an ordinary photo of a police car in a Christmas parade and make it stand out from the crowd. This is a result of 4 layers with a different process to each one and sharpening the car.

What do you think? I need to work on the black below the car some still, but does it work?

I just looked again and it's visible to me so I'm not sure what the problem could be.

Here's a link to it: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2331/...3c689bdc_b.jpg

I don't know about this one. The car looks good in the larger version. The background doesn't do it for me though. Maybe too saturated or something. Looks unnatural and there is no way I would have guessed this was a Christmas parade.

The car looks good but I don't care for the background effect.

Here's the original unedited version for comparison.

Thanks for posting the original. I like it way better than the over pp'd one.

Don't know what happened, but I can see it now!

I tend to agree that the backgound is distracting - maybe try a bit less saturation and add some blur to the background and try to enhance the car a bit to make it stand out.
