Default Fairchild AFB, Spokane, WA, Skyfest 2010

This last weekend, I headed out to Fairchild AFB 9about 5 minutes from home) for the Skyfest 2010 airshow. They have gone to a every other year schedule so I have been looking forward to this show for some time now.

It was a really hot day there with the temps being around 100 degrees. So I say it was miserably fun out there.

I took way to many pictures and am working on getting through them all and deciding which ones to keep and which ones to discard.

I will start out here with a few of the static pictures that I took. They are not near as exciting as the aerial display photos, but are all part of the event.

I hope you enjoy them and as always, comments are welcomed.

Ron

Not really a static display. I tried to keep moving.

This is what we saw as we entered the airshow through a big hanger.

Rest easy, our Air Force is on it. This kind of reminds me of Barney on The Andy Griffith Show.

This puppy was fast!!

I liked this little boys expression! Look at that HUGE airplane dad!!

These worked very well for shade!

One of my favorite fighters!

Kind of like a big shade tree.

The business end of something I have never seen before. All I can say is INCREDIBLE!! What keeps this thing on the ground I am not sure. You will see it again in another thread!

One of the performers. You have to love the P-51!! One you have heard one, you will never forget it.

The rest can be seen here; Static Display - ront's Photos

Some nice aircraft. Especially like the yellow bi-plane.
