This is a personal per peeve of mine but I find it frustrating to have to scroll in any direction to view the entire photo. Makes it hard to really "see" the shot when its not all there on my screen. Many times I just move on. It is too much too ask for people to resize images to not exceed the screen size ?

I have multiple systems and each vary in size. My laptop resolution is 1366x768. My work monitors are both 1280x1024. My home workstation is 1920x1080 on one of the monitors (I don't remember the other and I'm not there right now). I rarely have any issues seeing photos with any of them, although I'll have to do a vertical scroll with this laptop once in a while. What resolution are you running? |

I'm set at 1024 x 768. If I increase to 1280 x 768 I get the whole picture on this site but I lose real estate on the desktop. I'm still using an older crt monitor(17"). Its not that big a deal, I can live with it.

I use Firefox for my browser and there's an addon for it called "zoom image" that will allow you to resize the image to fit your screen. Really useful if you feel like trying FF instead of IE.
You might also be able to go full screen (F11) and see the entire image since you're running 1024x768 since Photocamel resizes anything larger than 1000 pixels across down to 1000. |

Additionally some images may seem huge when they are loading but once completely loaded, as Steve (swampler) says they are resized to 1000 wide.

I sometimes increase or decrease the photo I'm viewing by clicking on the 100% button or the arrow button which is at the lower right hand corner of Internet Explorer

Remembered that yesterday. It works fine. Extra step as the type is too small for me but cheaper than a new wide screen monitor ! Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
