Question on Groups

Hello..

I am new to the board and wanted to know more about the Camel Groups...

I looked into a few of them, but there does not seem to be any heavy activity, or not enough for me to decipher what all is possible on a group board. Can you post photos in a group? Can you have categories within the group? Do they have threads in them similar to the boards out here? I am thinking about starting one, but not sure of the options or platform.. Can the Group Leader post bulletins etc?

Any help would be appreciated..

Hey, Kat. Just go ahead and start one. Then put a link to your group in your signature, and invite people. Looks to me like the touchy subects board is the busiest, so if people like your topics, they'll participate. Yeah, you can post images and do a lot of the things you can in boards. The whole thing will be improved over time, too.

Remember to subscribe to threads you like, and then they'll show up by clicking View My Subscribed Discussions in the Groups & Chat menu.

Anyways,, that was very helpful.. I do see now that you can have an internal thread "and" post photos..

I was thinking of a Critical Critique Group...

Hehe. Well, the good thing is that you can both join and unjoin. Start one now to get going. In the near future, we'll be upgrading the functionality of those groups substantially, and a head start for you will be helpful.

One more question JDArt.

Can a group leader create a sticky on the thread in the group?

How would you go about posting a permanent posting in the group, for say, group rules? obviously you would not want this post to get buried..
