I would like to suggest "Surf PhotoCamel Naked Day". I have a list of people I'd like to suggest shoot self-portraits and post during that special day as well.

(I also have a list of people I'd rather see avoid the camera altogether on that special day...myself included)

If the owners decide they don't like the way of someone behaves, what difference would it make to waste more time to understand why he behaved in such an offensive manner. On a more practical side, I wouldn't be surprised if the first bans aren't permanent but just for a few days. So if one feels the need to explain himself, then wait for the short time and do it afterwards. It's not that not being barred from Photocamel can be a matter of life and death. And as a last resort, there's always the option to make a second account and use that one to communicate with the moderators.

And if someone got banned repeatedly so it might become permanent, perhaps it's time for him to consider adapting his behaviour to be less disruptive and more in line with the communication culture of the forums. As said before, we're here as guests and access to the forums isn't a constitutional right.

May I suggest, that anyone interested, research the demise of the Paul C Buff (White Lightning) forum, of which many current Camel members were a part of. It was fun while it lasted, and many of us miss it, still. What would you do if Camel just decided to fold their tent, also. Think about it seriously. It certainly isn't out of the realm of possibility. Not looking for confrontation here, which would only add fuel to what appears to be a a tiny spark at this point!

I'm not following you? Are you implying this forum might close because of my suggestion? Why was the other forum unable to make enough money from advertising? You confuse me utterly

The White Lightning forum was about lighting discussion, although the topics varied. The company was able to sponsor it's own forum, through the graciousness of it's owner, Pay Buff. The forum was his, he owned and nurtured it. Over time, some members would quarrel, occasionally, amongst themselves over silly, nit-picky issues and comments. Mind you, they were a small minority, given the size of the membership and the number of threads and posts. However, unexpectedly and without warning, Mr. Buff locked the forum shut, citing "uncivility" as one of the contributing factors.
I don't mean to confuse you, and I don't think I am. I'm merely recounting the history of another, very similar forum.
I don't know if you'll be responsible for this forum's closing, but it's interesting that you ask.
