Question Question about Topaz Adjust

Has anyone here ever used Topaz Adjust. I see that it's one of the advertisements that is used here in Photo Camel and I was wanting to know if anyone here has it and what they think about it. I'm thinking about purchasing it and I want to get some other opinions.

There are many examples of people using Topaz Adjust in the forums here. It's a cool little tool that has some good uses depending on the image and the desired outcome. Like many of the plugins and tools like this, it can be overused and overdone quite easily.

It has a free trial period, doesn't it? D/L it and check it out firsthand.

At the present time I don't have PhotoShop or PhotoShop Elements so that's why I was wanting to get some opinions. If it's a pretty good program I may purchase PhotoShop Elements (I can't afford PhotoShop) and then download the trial version of Topaz Adjust to see how I like it.

It wouldn't be high on my priorities for getting started with post processing. I find it to be more of a special effect tool, although it does have some basic features for tonal adjustments (all of which can be accomplished without it). That's my .02 on it.

Thanks for the advise. Special effects is what I'm looking to do. I have Microsoft Digital Image Pro for my post-processing right now but I don't think Topaz Adjust will work with it. That's why I'm thinking about getting PhotoShop Elements.

Photoshop Elements will open up possibilities you can't yet imagine. Add Topaz and a wealth of other free and purchased plug-ins and you'll really have to push to run out of things to try.

Given that you are interested in special effects, Topaz Adjust is worthy of consideration. I have it and use it occasionally. As already noted, it is easy to take things too far with it, but once you get the hang of using it, you can tone things down, or go as radical as you like.
