Too many forums?

Hi Jay, I'm wondering if it might not be worth considering combining the Medium, Large and Film Camera forums into one forum? Since these area do not get all that much traffic on their own, combining them would combine what there is. Since most medium and large format cameras are still film cameras, it would make sense and the combined areas might spur more talking amoung those that post in these areas.

Just a suggestion.

Perhaps it's best to be cautious with changes or additions until more people express a need - or problems come up over time?

It would be easy for me to create sub-boards, such as I have now with Compact Cameras.

I even like this idea, a lot, in theory. So there would be a Canon forum, and under that you'd have Pro Bodies, Prosumer, Lenses, etc, and a Nikon forum, with similar structure underneath.

It would look elegant. My concern is that sub-boards get lost, or that people don't want to navigate more than one level down before posting. Opinions?

I agree with you Jay,

I think people would loose the lower forums also or not even go into the main forum because they thought it was not for them.

Jay, even if you don't do everything that is suggested, you are doing great at listening and considering it.

I agree that a little more consolidation might be helpfull right now but didn't want to give too many suggestions at one time. I'm glad others picked up on that though and brought it up. Talk about team work.
