I have successfully uploaded my pic to the member gallery. Is this the right place? I can't figure out how to get it in my thread. I don't see a text box that highlights below my gallery image like it says in the tutorial. I tried to manually type it in and all I got was a box with an X. Oh geez....... Should I have put in MY gallery and how do I do that? Sorry so new and confused...........

If you trying to show a picture in a post, you first need to upload that picture to a host site, such as Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket. Once the pic is uploaded there, you will see your pic such as this for ex:
YOUR PICTURE HERE WhitNew-1.jpg Email & IM Direct Link HTML Code IMG Code Click on the bottom IMG Code and copy and paste to your post on Photocamel. Hope this helps ![]() |

Thanks Motox424
I was following (trying to) the tutorial for posting images and with the kind help of Mr. Pickles got as far as getting into the member gallery. I believe that is a hosting site that I can transfer images from. I am just confused how to get the pic out of there and into a thread. |

Yes, you can link images in your member gallery into posts in the forum.
Are you wanting to post the photo of your two dogs? If you scroll down a bit, you'll see where it says "Medium Image" or something like that. Highlight the text to the right of that, and then copy and paste it wherever you want it to appear in your post. Tina |

Okay I know I am a goof. I only see my pic in the "Member Gallery" not in "My Gallery". In the "Member Gallery" there is no text under my pic other than the title I gave it and my name. Is this right? Please maybe a step by step for a total noob cuz I am really lost. Thanks all....

Click on the link that says "Gallery" under your image and information that shows up to the left of each of your posts. You'll see a thumbnail of the image of your two dogs. Click on it to get to the original, full-sized version. Scroll down a bit and you'll see the text you need to highlight, making sure to include the [IMG] tags that are before and after the text. Then hit Ctrl + C on your keyboard, go to the post you want to include it in, and hit Ctrl + V to paste it in. Tina |

Along the top bar of this site, click on Galleries, My Gallery.
See your Album thumbnail (one image of your doggies)? Click on the doggies. Now click on the doggies image again (right now it should show ALL your images in the gallery, but you have one). Now your doggies are big. Scroll down to the textboxes, yours says Medium Image. Highlight all the text in that line (web address with IMG tags on the front and back). Do a CTRL-C (hold down Control key and hit the C key) to COPY the highlighted text. Now go to a post, and where you want the image to be, hit CTRL-P (Pastes the text). When you Save the post, the image will be there instead of the text you pasted... |
