Yes, it is an intermittent problem. This morning I looked at 4 different boards & posted some comments without a hitch. Then on the last post it got stuck in the thread. It is certainly a Firefox problem. If I remember correctly it appeared after last (automatic) update of Firefox. However, it does not occur in other sites, say BBC News, Google News, etc.

Firefox will shut down plugins like flash and java if those don't update when firefox does. That is one reason I don't use firefox anymore.

Interesting, I got blocked out today from the forum....no browser I tried would let me in. I had to send for a forgotten password to get in.
I am now using the old IE and can actually see all the missing drop down menu that disappeared on me in Firefox.
Once I hit send, I'll see how long it takes for the message to appear. Maybe it is all a Firefox issue??

Back in Firefox after doing a complete refresh of it and I have my drop down menus back and hopefully this will post.

Yeap....it worked!
So if you are having issues and use firfox try refreshing it from the help menu.

I am now getting normal operation from Firefox also so thanks to anyone who worked on the problem.

I was the only one having a problem with email updates. I found - for no reason what-so-ever - that gmail decided these updates were spam and sent them to the spam box! This is after a couple years of receiving updates. Go figure...

Anyway, all OK now. Lee
