Error Message - PhotoCamel

Hi,

I sometimes get an error when I select one of the subjects posted recently (at the bottom of the page): "The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you."

Is it something I should be concerned about?

Not seen this myself, but would be useful to see what page it is linking to when it happens. It sounds like it may be a session timeout thing. I'll check the logs to see if there's anything in there.

Just as an side

Lynx is having peering problems at the moment or was this morning may be something to do with it - depends on where the server is hosted and the client is connecting from

Ah, OK. That's a link to a post in the Glamour forum which is only accessible by those members who've signed up for it (which I know you have so you shouldn't have seen any error message...).

Were the other 'off-limits' messages in this forum or in others too?

Hmm. I take that back Waleed. You currently don't have permissions for the Glamour forum. Had you access to this section in the past?

You'll get that message when a post is deleted or you can't see it....

The DB error one poped up again a few minutes ago though.

I believe we are hosted at "Everyones Internet" in Houston, TX.

Okay that will only have given problems to th UK members then as all the rest peer with the US as a rule - unless you are using and MPLS cloud which is hosted in the UK

Yeah, I saw the DB error too. That's obviously a server side error, though it only seemed to last a minute or less. The server itself looks in good health. There are nightly jobs on the database that can slow down the host a little, though they would normally have finished by now.

I was pretty sure Waleed's error would be due to him accessing a link to a part of the site that he doesn't currently have permissions for (the Glamour section). However, if DC2 is getting it too then this makes it more troublesome to answer.

Ah, I see.. No, I didn't register for it nor have I had access for it before, it was just a link I clicked.. As long as it's a know error, then all should be ok
