Default Memorial Day

I guess this goes here. If not, I'm sure one of the Masters will move it and chastise me.

Lone flag at a pauper's cemetery that was once part of a state mental facility near here. No names, just numbered head stones. But the story I've been told is there aren't any actual graves, just the head stones. Apparently the original cemtery was moved when the state wanted to build a new building on the former cemetery grounds. I've been told the bodies weren't moved, just the head stones. Don't know what happened to the bodies. I may do a little more checking into this. Let me know what you think. C&C always welcome.

Andrew

Great shot but are these all miniature headstones? Either that or the grass is kinda high. Optical illusion? Anyhow I really really like it! Cool!

That's one of those hand-held flags you see people waving at parades and such, if that tells you anything. The head stones are maybe a foot tall. But, you're right, the grass was kinda tall. Maybe they don't mow the pauper's cemetery as often as they should. I don't know. I'll have to call the city about that one.

sounds like a great backstory for another sequel to "Poltergeist"

I like th clarity of the flag and th dof of the headstones. Only suggestion from me is to maybe take the shot again placing the flag more right instead of in the center. That would allow the headstones on the left to lead the viewer to the flag and would take the dark shadowed spot on the right out of the frame. Just a thought.
