I took this a few hours ago at my Brothers house
Lucky timing for me as I've been ding for a shot of this guy for over a year. Just so happened to have the sun in my favor.I was armed with the 50mm and didn't have time to change to the Tamron so it's a pretty heavy crop. ![]() Best, Jay __________________

Jay,
What a fun shot with the sun near setting. Just downloaded your frame actions, and wanted to thank you. I recently got CS3 so now I can use actions. I still have a lot to learn, but have had fun playing with your frames. Cheers, Colby PS Are you in Texas again? |

Thanks Colby
It's not the best quality do to the sun and heavy crop, but I still thought it was a fun shot as well I'm glad you like the frames! If you want you can break down the actions and change them pretty easily. The actions can get a bit complicated though. I highly recommend getting a subscription to lynda.com. You can then watch all the training videos they offer for photoshop! The fundamentals are key and will give you a solid foundation for the real fun in PS They also offer videos that go in depth on each aspect of photoshop. Thats where the actions come in. They have a whole trianing series just on actions! Thats how I learned to use them and created the frames. It's pretty easy believe it or not, but there is an order of operations as to how the actions work. Also once you have the fundamentals of PS down, I highly recommend Lynda.com - Photoshop CS3 Creative Photographic Techniques. I'm going through this series now in my spare time and it is awesome!! Chris Orwig who is a Pro photographer teaches it, and his insight into photography/ photoshop is incredible! Very inspiring and very talented in all aspects. ![]() PS: I'm in NY. This shot was taken in Florida, NY at my other Brothers house Best, Jay |

"Presentation is everything".
I've said that before, but there's a companion saying when it comes to still photography: "Timing is everything". (Darn, I need to put those in my sig one of these days). Nice shot, great timing, nice cropping. |

Jay,
I don't know what happened to my first reply!! Sorry if it seemed like I was not paying attention. Believe me my friend, I do! Laycey and I love your work and that is just another reason why >Great capture! Wonderful control of lighting, hues, tecture, etc. It even has a bit of a haunting feel to it. You had a great eye on this one and you captured it to perfection!! Maybe next year you could join us out here in the badlands! you'd love meeting Stacey and you would go crazy with the country. It would be like a dog who has to pee suddenly being set loose in a Forest. Where do I go first? Dakota |
