Joe's Liquor Store was recently voted for the "Best in Memphis" awards.* It is located in Midtown in Memphis. This store has been around since I was a boy and I am 52.* This neon sign has a sputnik on top that rotates and has a Native American arrow as part of its design.* The sign itself has been voted "best of signs in Memphis" every year.* Over the years the sputnik stopped working and decay caused the sign to set idle for a number of years.* About four years ago customers of the store began an effort to restore the sign.* This is the restored sign, a landmark in Memphis.* *
