August still life challenge - black and white

Here's my starter for this one - Dancing shoes. I love the extraordinary effect of black and white on fairly ordinary objects. In this case I just lit the black and sparkly shoes with a small torch using a relatively long exposure, moving the torch around to get a real vignette effect.

Can the image be tinted monochrome, such as sepia tones?

Hi - the quick answer is that I'm not sure! I will seek advice from somebody less of a newbie than me. But I think there was (is) a separate category for sepia....

Sis, I think she chose one from the list which is pinned. There is also another choice for sepia that hasn't been used yet which is what confused her.

My apologies, Molly, I didn't realize you had chosen from a list. Just let me know, straight black and white is great, I was just clarifying.

BW it is. Shot in the studio this am with one diffused 500w tungsten light on the cloth and another on the background.

Exposure was ISO 100: f/2.8 at 1/125 second.
