Riding Boots

So I'm a little behind (looks like nearly two months). Here's what should have been my entry for the May challenge (footwear from an overhead point of view); plus one. Shot outdoors in the late afternoon as the sun was nearing the horizon (metropolitan horizon) using one speedlight as fill light. I like the darker exposure of this image as I feel it brings out the stitching and hard earned dust (although I now notice a bright spot on the rock near the bottom of the image, drats).



I tried an overhead of both pairs but didn't like anything I came up with so just for fun here's one of the working end of both.

I too like the lighting. Is that light being reflected underneath the far right boot? Paul

Thank you Paul. I wish I could say for sure what the source for that light is. I don't believe it can be from the speedlight leading me to believe it is sunlight. The two speedlights were pointed at each pair of boots, high enough that light from those should not have been getting under the sole. In fact, you can see the soft shadow of the far right boot created by the speedlight. The sun was setting from the left side of the photo so I can only surmise that is the source of the light in question.
