A coffeemaker that creates an "experience" from brewing as much as drinking the coffee. I had some time last night so I thought I'd try a dark field image.

scatterbrained, I love this type of lighting and have built a box lined with foamboard.
As of yet, I haven't got a good picture out of it but will continue trying!! Very nice! |

After the coolness of pulling off my first darkfield shot wore off I realized that this shot was seriously lacking and decided to try it again. I set it up again and got about halfway through the shooting process before disaster struck. I bumped the pot while trying to adjust the upper chamber (it was sitting crooked) and it fell and shattered! A two inch drop and the thing exploded! ![]() There were so many tiny glass shards that I ended up throwing out the fabric rather than try and clean it. This is a shot of the scene right before this horrible caffeine catastrophe:![]() Kona Vacuum Coffee Maker, Take Two by tltichy, on Flickr |

I have a Yama vac pot. I agree, getting there is half the fun when brewing - and the results make the extra effort worthwhile. Nice shot!

Wife's notice little details, very little details that are often missed by the typical male. You watch, she'll notice something slightly different about it and say "hey hon, something looks different".

I like your second shot much, much better. I think I'm seeing your softbox grid in the specular highlights. A large diffusion sheet between the softbox and subject will improve this even more. You will try another shot when the new one arrives won't you? Be carefull!Jim __________________
