Bob - the colors in this are absolutely gorgeous, deep and intense. Love it. I prefer the first one, as far as composition.

I was going to say I liked the First One. Great colors, sharp and yet you can still feel the texture. I was also going to say, that the Hot Spot on the apple bothered me but I can't explain why??

Then I saw the tighter crop, and I just went Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I like that and then I don't notice the Hot Spot in this even though its there.....

First day of the year and we choose opposite sides of an image, Sis Told ya I was creaped out!

+1 with Sis on the composition of #1 and intensity of colors. I like your border, also. It adds to the composition. The specular highlight on the apple is a small distraction for me. Is the background going downhill to the right slightly?

Thanks . Yes there is a tilt in the horizon with the cup being truly vertical devoid of the tilt.
