I agree with the comment about the far tulip and wonder if perhaps the bokeh itself is competing rather than complimenting your subjects.
Can you tell us about your lighting? |

It was shot at 1/40 F/4 iso 640. Lighting was an Sb-600 on camera bounced off the ceiling. I think it was at 1/8 power.
