I really like the composition on this shot. Focus seems a bit soft but what I'd really like to know is why the color balance is so warm.

Greatly appreciate the feedback. I adjusted color balance to create a red tone for the flat black cup and warm the entire image. I'm experimenting with black lately (I am a incorrigible experimenter).
I relied on auto focus. I rolled the plate during the time exposure. All of which created soft focus. SOOC attached.

I prefer it without the red tinting - far more. Everything sort of feels like it's leaning to the right a bit too - I keep tilting my head while I'm looking at it.
