Default Pro Bike Race Tips

After a year or two of shooting local bike races I finally got a media pass for shooting a big pro bike race this weekend. But, getting to sit in the back of one of the media motos is new to me. Has anyone out there photographed a bike race while sitting on the back of a motorcycle? I don't cause the driver or the peleton to wreck.
Here's a shot from a Cat 3/4 race last weekend.

I've never shot from there either, but I'd say as long as you don't fall off or drop any gear in the way, the driver will keep you out of their way.

Good luck!

Riding backwards? The only advice I have for you is the same I give to people who ride behind me. Stay close and align your spine with the driver, if he leans you lean and exactly as much as he does. Fighting that feeling of falling over will counter his effort and bikes lean in order to turn. Leaning too far is as bad, actually falling over is worse that feeling like you are going to.

Have fun. Don''t get dizzy.

They decided against having media motos so I got a reprieve. Still got some decent shots though.
