Your Football is very good, good timing, good action - some of them could use a tighter crop, but not too bad.

Your baseball really needs to be cropped tighter, and you have some framing issues. Watch your horizons - you can correct those when you crop them down. Action is pretty good, and you've got some good images there with a little bit of work - I would toss baseball/_DSC0039.jpg - the image is soft.

Your hockey has some really great timing - great exposure. Very nice looking shots - again, you need to crop those down a lot.

Some nice looking images here - with a bit of work, you can really make them sing!

Cheers,
Ken

It seems that watermarking for high school sports is pretty much a necessity. 9/10 of the time when you hear about a scraped image, it's some sporting event. I undderstand, and can look past them. On a few of these the WB looks a little off, and perhaps a few could use a bit of color correction with a curves adjustment. That's about all I can add to the critique, as was mentioned, timing looks great.

Good stuff.

Ken's got you covered on advice. Softness is a no-no, shoot tight, crop tighter. Of course, nothing's absolute.

As for the horizons, well, as a fine arts shooter first, and a photojournalist second, I will tilt horizons if it gives me a deliberate effect, but it doesn't always work. Keep 'em as level as you can if you're not doing anything with it.

What really doesn't help our horizons is the fact that just about every Nikon viewfinder slants to the right slightly, on certain examples of a particular camera it's more obvious than others, but it's always a slight slant to the right.
