Digging through some old files I found an old picture of a RC plane I used to fly (you may reconize that it's a Tiger Moth) and was gonna let you guys have your will with it.
![]() But you've done that kinda stuff dozens of times before. Let's do something different! You all know that I'm into straight pictures, but many of you also know that I'm not a big fan of BW. Many here take great pains converting their color pictures into nice BW pictures. I admire your talents, but, sorry, I'm just not into BW that much. SO, here's my (evil) Challenge for you: take this BW picture and turn it back into color! ![]() A Hint for you beginners: You could just use a brush with different colors, set it at about 50% opacity, and paint the color(s) on. A much better way is to add 1 (or more) blank transparent layers and paint solid colors on it (them), then reduce the opacity of each layer to suit. Zooming helps, ok? Now this Challenge isn't all that easy, but it isn't all that hard either. Come on, you can do it, and it will be good practice for you. If you need incentive, this is a Double Dog Dare. Judging is next Sunday. __________________

Hummm, no responses or comments. Did I make this too hard? Not "fun" enough? I can come up with another one pretty quick if you guys would like.

I'm up for your challenge! It's just that I won't have any time until middle of this week. It'll take a little while to do but I've got several ideas already (can we post more than one?). |

Wow, Goofup, this looks difficult to me, but I'm going to give it a try if I can find some time to do it. I'm in that "pre-beginners" stage
, but I've learned a few things since I started doing these challenges, although it's been a few weeks, so I want to try this. Wish me luck. |

OK, no time like the present! This will probably be the only chance I have this week to play with this. To those the least bit more experienced than I am with PS, this probably looks sloppy, but I am pleased, one more time, to have learned something new (specifically, in this challange, doing any kind of "colorizing" - never done it before, and to learn the purpose and use of another tool [i.e. the eyedropper tool]). This was an interesting challenge.

Well.. here ya go, I couldn't wait until later this week
. I found the trees and shrubs the most challenging. Hard to capture the many shades of green that there would be. |

Hello all,
New to the 'Camel, but I like the look of what I see. It's been a couple of days since the last post , but is this challenge still open? (I assume so as no winner has been awarded!) Might have a go at this over the weekend - looks like fun. Cheers Starabo -- |
