senses working overtime

OK - for the first speed challenge of the New Year I thought I'd set something straightforward, but feel free to use your imagination. The image below is quite dull, not that sharp, has some spots on the lens, but I believe it holds a lot of detail if teased appropriately. See if you can convert it to something more pastoral.
![]() Below is a quick edit + crop I did as an example. ![]() And below is a 1600x1200 file for those who prefer a large file to edit (around 1MB in size). http://mysongs.myby.co.uk/SC29_large.jpg Max entries are 2 per person. Feel free to do any processing you think is required - e.g. new sky, removal of objects etc, but keep it naturalistic. I'll run this challenge until Sunday 8th January at around midday (or whatever time I get up). Looking forward to many entries ! __________________

I wanted a bit of golden glow on the foreground and still retain the ominous clouds moving in over the farm. I also cloned out the power lines.

I really liked the cloud formation and wanted to find a way to make that work in the picture. I cropped off a good portion of the bottom and focused on the sky. I thought maybe adding a windmill would give more of the feeling of a windy day. The second, I just went a bit darker and added lightning.

The darker clouds of the 2nd look better and the lighting is a nice addition. I had considered the "storm" effect for this scene. Glad to see that someone actually did some.
