Speed Challenge #117
One of the things about Speed Challenges is it's a place to show off our PS prowness. But sometimes I think Camelers (and Camelettes) miss the fact is this is also a chance for even beginners to jump in and try something new with that graphics program that they've never tried before. For instance, never learned what that Magic Wand does? Want to learn what an Adjustment Layer does? Want to practice Cloning? Well here's a perfect excuse to learn something new, and it's just for the fun and education of it!
So this challange (or "opportunity") is for everyone. It can be funny, it can be whatever you can come up with. We all hate garden gnomes. Everytime we see one we want to _________ (fill in the blank). We all think that Travelocity commercial is stupid. So surely you can come up with something dire, funny, whatever for this poor gnome. He's even dressed in red so it can be Christmas-like. I'll be picking the winner next Sunday based on concept, not on execution. Let the fun begin!  __________________

Took me forever to do this, used clone stamp, is there a tutorial for pasting one image on to another with magic wand? Maybe I can do a better job if so. But here's my attempt anyway! Didn't we all at sometime or another want to kick one of these things? lol

OK, I've done absolutely NOTHING with a PS challenge in maybe over a year (and even then I didn't know much about using PS) which probably shows in this challenge, but "baby steps" -- I had to start somewhere, right. BUT my effort could hardly be called a "speed" challenge (unless, of course, you mean I was on "speed" while working on it!
 ) -- it took me FOREVER (well, actually, a couple of hours all together). Hopefully, I'll get faster, and more proficient, as time goes on. |
